I have a catted bbk h pipe hooked up to my bbk lt's at the moment. I love the sound but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to switch over to off an off road h since they are not that expensive. I would simply switch back over to the catted pipe when I need to do the yearly state inspection. how much extra power would I get and would the sound really be that different?

don't get caught. that's a real large fine if you
get caught without cats. i don't think the power gain is enough to take a chance.

This is exactly what I did. I bought MAC LT's and catted H initially, but found an o/r H on ebay for $115 and got it. The car got a bit louder and popped more on decel. but don't think it gained any power. I like it either way. Gives you a nice smell too lol. Still have the catted pipe hanging in the shed for emissions visits.

LT's aren't legal either, but it looks like you took a chance on those from your sig. You will love the sound of the O/R Midpipe, will sound great with the 40's. Then just swap your catted pipe back in for inspection. Most people in my local club dont even run a catted pipe, they pass with headers and O/R pipes, as long as your CEL light isnt on and your not throwing any codes you should be fine. Like anything theres always a chance someone will look under your car and such, but that just depends on the time and place like anything. Just my .02
