i have a 2000 mustang gt. i recently put a UPR off-road x-pipe. it sounds great, but i hate that damn check engine light. i first tried home made MIL Eliminators that i made with a capacitor and a resistor. that did not work to well. then i spent $65 for MILs from UPR. my engine light is still on . as u can see, this is getting very annoying!!! i was wondering, is it possible to have the stock computer reprogrammed deleting the rear O2s??... and how much will this cost?? will it be cheaper if i buy the tuner and do it my self??? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

You can keep the O2's from tripping the check engine light with a Predator, but it's ~$400.

After I put in my MIL's my check engine light was still on for a day or two, you might need to disconnect your battery to reset the computer.

i will try disconnecting my battery. is that predator user friendly or will i have to get a degree in rocket science to use it?

Yeah, I'd either try to disconnect the battery and reset the computer or go to AutoZone and get the code cleared. After that, the light shouldn't come back on if you have the MIL elims installed. If you disconnect the battery, leave the door open so that the interior light will drain all the power to make sure the computer really does get reset.

Predator is real user friendly, just plug into the OBD II and follow the on screen instructions.

If I can do it, anyone can.
