Off set Rack and Pinion bushing

If you already have the X2 balljoint and bumpsteer kit, it wouldn't do you any good.. I've got some polyurethane offset rack bushings on mine, but I can't see that it did anything for it. If anything, you should probably get some standard non-offset rack bushings that are either urethane or maybe even aluminum.

If you dont already have the bumpsteer kit with the X2, it is recomended and would work better than an offset rack bushing.
 
All the offsets do is "straighten" the tie rods....If you look at the rack and see your tie-rods at an angle...then offsets reposition the rack to straighten those tie-rods out...they just rotate or swivel the rack to level things out...least thats what I noticed when I did mine....Im sure MM knows what their talking about as far as using em...
I put the FRPP ones in mine when i lowered it...they're aluminum, along with shorter endlinks to re-set the swaybar....
 
I used the poly bushings in mine and everything is A OK! I did notice that they did straighten the tie rods out. I didnt have to do anything with the end joints. I didnt want the aluminum ones because I didnt want the vibrations of the wheels to radiate up to the steering wheel.
 
Thanks for the input fella's. I dont have the bumpsteer but I have that creeking sound every time I turn my steering wheel and bushing I hope is the cure based on things that I've read here.it's a debate between normal or off set bushing. I guess off set due to my angled tie rod. Thanks again guys.
 
I am getting most of MM's Road & Track Kit installed. Prior to buying the parts (H&R race springs, Bilsteins, c/c plates, endlinks, front A-arm bushings, quads, swaybar bushings, aluminum rack bushings, and snubber), I asked MM the same type of questions about bumpsteer and they assured me that if a quality shop installed the parts, I should not ever have an issue with bumpsteer. The aluminum rack bushings move the rack back a small amount and provide more responsive and tighter steering.

Of course, my drop will only be about 1", so there's no excuse for the suspension geometry to be out of whack. A good alignment shop should be able to ensure that the geometry is unchanged and with the addition of c/c plates, a proper alignment is guaranteed. Also mentioned was whether or not I wanted an agressive alignment to which I said "no". Again, MM didn't see any excuse for a bumpsteer issue.

I'll have first hand experience in a little over a week, now that I have an appointment scheduled with T&J.

I'm not knocking Steeda's stuff or anyone that has them. Just wanted to repeat what MM told me which is mostly available on their website.
