Official 2006 NFL Thread

Da Bears made a serious statement in Sunday night's game. It may have been a Seahawk team without Alexander, but with the way thier line played against Da Bears front 4 I really don't think he would have made that much of a difference.

<------Starts hearing a ghost form the past ;)

OH SNAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But true :D They lost to the Bengals by 8 points AT HOME!!!!!!! While the Patriots beat them by 25 at THERE HOME.
Kinda like last year in the AFC playoffs when Denver :owned: The Pats and and the Steelers bitch slapped them a week later????

Pittsburgh will be fine. Too early in the season to call it quits

Yeah kinda like that dink :D

I dont think they are done either but Im not feeling repeat this yr either. If they loose at San deigo this weekend its not going to be good, droping 3 confrence games in a row.

Yeah if they loose this week ( I dont think they will) it would look dim. But like I said before, They just look like a team that has not hit their stride yet. The team itself isn't much different than last year. Randle El is the one player I miss. He would not let teams double cover Ward, and although he didnt have many catches, I dont remember too many drops. That is what is killing this team. Stupid little things like a drop on 2nd and 5. That lets everyone know a pass is on its way which leads to more INT's. Before the Cinci game Ben NEVER had a red zone INT, he had two that game. Stupid little things that can take care of themselves in time. But they better get on it or time will run out.

That and the fact that the defence is letting everyone run all over them and push them around. They have alot more issues right now then just the offense.

u can make the statement of this is the same team as last year either because that just dont work in the NFL nowdays like the buccaneers they won the superbowl then had the exaqct same team the next year guess what they sucked the 85 bears they brought back the same guys pretty much in 86 and guess what they sucked every year is just like startin over again.

???????????? The defence has been playing GREAT! Just no Offense. They held Rudy Johnson to 57 total yards. The worst game for the d was the Cinci game and they still kept them in the game. The ONLY issue is teh offense right now. Well, that and our punt returner cant catch a damb punt but he all of a sudden has a neck injury.

This is the same team that has been competitive years before they won the Big One.

IF you think the Pittsburgh D has issues, take a look at this.

Umm would you like to try again? Silly Silly Packer fan ;)

86 Bears third straight NFC Central 14-2; defense allows NFL record-low 187 points. Bears lose divisional playoff game to Redskins, 27-13.

87 Bears fourth consecutive division title 11-4. Redskins come back from 14-0 deficit to beat Bears 21-17 in playoffs

88 Bears 12-4 (tied for best in NFL) and advance to NFC Championship game before losing to eventual Super Bowl Champion San Francisco. Bears finish five-year period (1984-88) with 62 wins-most by any NFL team ever in such a span.

They may not have gone back to the superbowl, but they were anything BUT poor teams following the Superbowl domination of the Pats.

The years after that are a different story though :(
