I've never seen a 96-98 in that color and I've only seen 1 99' in that color.

Aztec Gold was available only in 1997. Just 1,135 were ever produced in this color (code AZ) out of the 1997 total of 108,XXX cars (lowest production year for SN95). I can take a pic of the tag on my door to show it's original paint.

Numerous websites will verify the total production of the color, head over to yellowmustangregistry.com for example...

If you saw a 99+ in this color... it wasn't stock- there was a gold close to this that year but it wasn't Aztec.

Ok I guess it was another gold. I know there is a gold 99 GT around town, don't know exact color name just know it looked like that color.

I bought VHT nightshades and did mine. It is a pray can for about $10 at summit.

I am going to sand them a littl ebit to lighten them and then clear coat them. They are just a little to dark, and need a better shine. Here is a pic.

I am also going to do the side marker lights.

Mine has a 3M film that can be put on with soap and water, and molds to the lights. Thay way if you get pulled over, you can just remove it right there. Happened to the previous owner. He had to remove them right in front of the cop. Cop said cool, just dont drive with therm on at night. I can find out where these came from if you really want them. Just don't get those GTO plastic, bulky light covers. They are lame IMHO
