Good news Today. It has been confirmed that there is going to be a TSB out soon. I got this information from my service manager, who is real confident that they will be able to fix it! He has been in contact with the field engineers from ford and parts are few and far between. I think once the parts are readly available they will issue the TSB. He also confirmed that there will be some additional parts used that were not out when they tried to fix my car the first time. Hang in there everyone, there may be a solution after all. Its just too bad it takes so long for a solution.

Bad News

Well, the Ford Dealer just called and said that they could not duplicate the problem this time ... they did the last time I took it in in January. The service manager said Ford should have a fix by the end of May or the begining of June. So, I guess I will have to wait until this winter when it gets realllllly bad to take it back and have it fixed.

hauoli63,
Did they write it down when you took it in January that it grinded? Just tell them to call their Tech line and read off the parts that I gave you. Those are most of the parts that will be in the magical TSB.

Yes, it is in their records. They just said that if they couldn't replicate the problem that they wouldn't do anything about it at this time. Fortunately, I only drive my beloved Mustang when the weather is good (have a Tahoe, too), so when it gets cold again I'll take it back. And if I decide to trade it in for an 05, I'll be sure to do it when it is warm outside!!

Tremec isn't lying, but they can't do diddly squat regarding the TSB, only Ford can issue it.

Therefore, don't hold your breath.

I'd put the stock shifter in as to avoid any BS from the dealer and/or district reps.

Ford will never have a tsb that is why I got rid of mine. A nice 2003 GT. It is hard now the weather is nice that I don't have it any more. But at least I have my 1978 z28 camaro with a 4 speed that shifs Great after 26 years old. I have a freind that is a service writer at a ford dealership, and he said their is no info from ford on this shifting problem. Ford does not care, but I'm sure they will fix it for the new Mustang in 2005. Dom

I agree whole heartedly 100% when he said "Ford does not care,..." Ford doesn't give a $h!t about any of it's mustang customers, Not one! They are money hungry, greedy little b@$t@rd$. I swear if I had the money to throw away, I would attach a note to my 03' GT that says something real impactful and slam it through ford headquarters. To have a show where they buy new stangs and just destoy them my any means necessary would be my dream. We could dance around them and chant stupid weird things that don't really mean anything, but everyone else thinks its some ritual. To buy a new stang, drive it off the lot in the street and start mashing it with a hammer and then set it on fire would just make my mind numb with joy!!!! F*</< you Ford. Bloody hell, now I'm pissed I even every bought the d@mn thing.

Congradulations Ford, for achieving piss poor service.

Again, remember that is Tremec telling you what Ford told them. How many times has for said it will be released by the end of the week, within the next two weeks....three weeks. I just don't believe it anymore.
