OH, and I live in Texas, where it's hot, and not as cold as other places in the US, and it still grinds!...

So Conclusion?

So the conclusion to this extrememly long thread is that this is a flaw and ford is not planning on doing anything about it?

Most likely but its nice to dream.

If they still dont have a fix when Im close to my warrenty running out I will tell them I want the new parts or a new tranny and maybe I will get lucky.

Call customer service 1-800-392-FORD and complain and tell them you want it fixed and heard of a TSB coming out but you're warranty is almost up and see if they'll extend the drivetrain warranty. They did on mine. I have 5 year 75,000 mile drivetrain warranty with a 50 dollar deductible after my 3/36 is up.

Well I seen the TSB literature with my own eyes. My UAW rep showed it to me. The reason for the delay is that Ford is on Tremecs ass to get enough T-56's built for the 05 Mustangs therefore there is not enough parts out yet to issue the TSB. All the Tremec guy could say was "soon", and "this summer". We'll see

Yeah, I'd like an answer to that myself. If Tremec's engineers and techs don't know though........

I have a 2003 100th Aniversary Stang with 5000 miles on it.

Hmm, The first stang was produced in 1903?? The stang this year just had its 40th anv. On a side note I am just starting the process on getting my GT fixed. I have a '04 GT 9000 Miles, it does the 1-2 grind and binds going to 3rd under power, I have massive drivetrain clunk, andabout 1" of play in my driveshaft, and get a massive clunk whenever I go over a bump or dip under power, it sounds like my rear axle wants to explode. its pretty bad.

I think that ford is just saying that they are actually working on the fix just to make us shut-up, I am not anticipating a tsb soon, I had in the first few months that the idea was out, last year, now... not really.

how do you contact tremec? I went on their website and all they give is email addresses that no one responds to. I want to know what fluid they recommend you use in the 3650

i've been using dextron III like they said. It was ok. Today just changed to 3.2qtz of GM Synchromesh. Talk about nice ass difference. Grind will be there forever but it's definitely smoother going into gears.
