Official Who's coming to Nashville thread

C'mon guys, I don't want to look at a bunch of late models. The car turns 40 and mdjay and me are the only ones going to the party. There are some really cool cars on here I'd like to see in person.

We are working at full speed to complete my '66 'vert for Nashville...not like it came from the factory, though!:

5.0 efi w/ Kenne Belle twin screw blower
R & C Motorsports tubular/coilover front end
Relocated rear springs [lots of interesting fabrication] w/ SERIOUS TIRES
TONS of chassis bracing
Custom interior, including dual rollbars [and no rear seat]

...and lots of other stuff! Paint may be drying on the drive up!

As an aside, I was quite interested in the open track time, until I read the rules. Convertibles are relegated to the <80 mph class [or <100 with a certified driving school]. No thanks...but I was fascinated to see how quickly all of the slots sold out!

I will try to start posting some pictures as the rear fabrication progresses...and when it starts looking like a car again!

Oh, and I will certainly be looking forward to meeting the Mustang Depot folks...have been very pleased with service and products. Their new fiberglass manufacturer is producing a great product (I am using the cowl hood and R-type front apron). VERY CLEAN straight from the factory with virtually no work needed on it! That is very rare in 'glass! The E2 look wasn't quite what I wanted for my car, but I am interested in an up-close peek!

I may be there in if the Magazine sends me.

Lookk for the Hemmings Mustang Market guide booth there, and ask for Dan!

If not, unsure as of now. I was at SAAC 28 last year there, so I know the area, track, hotel, and routine. Lotsa fun! If you're going to do any running on the track, it's short and tight. Don't expect the Daytona 500. The only area you can get any speed if they allow it is in turn three/four and part of the front stretch. The infield part of turn one is quite sharp and tricky, spun my rental car there last yeat, tires howling!!!!

I'll have my son's car there.

Can't wait! AJ is driving over from Oxford to meet us there, so I'll have a bonus weekend with him!......at a car show..........can't beat it!

Look forward to maybe meeting some fellow stangnetters!
