Okay, I did a search. The offset steering rack bushings are meant to "raise" (holes on top) or "lower" the power steering rack on a lowered (shorter springs) 89 Mustang GT? Thank you in advance.

That's not the proper way to do it. The offset bushings are really intended for aftermarket K-members. The proper and better way to go about this is a bumpsteer kit. Basically an adjustable tie rod end.

I have the Maximum Motorsports Caster/Camber plates and the FMS B Springs and this lowers car less than an inch. Am I okay with just the offset steering rack bushings or am I looking at bump steer without the tie rod kit? Thanks

You only need offset bushing if you're car is lowered, and they're designed for use with stock k members too.

Are we talking alum bushings or urethane?

If the former, I would not use them on the stock K-member. If poly, I dont see why not.............. (I would not use them on a stock K at all, but that is just me. A call to a place like MM can probably hook you up with what is recommended).

You have to get under and look (with a loaded suspension) and note the angle of the steering linkage to know what and how much you need.........

Good luck.

interesting about the k member, good to know. When I was at brothers recently (local) they told me the offset ones were just if I was lowered, but didn't mention anything about the k member. I went with normal poly replacements, but I've got a stock suspension for now, stock k member for now.

Jeremy, part of what I posted is from what I think I recall from MM's site.......

I dont know all that much about the ins and outs in terms of personal experience with different combos.

How is the new motor running?

not yet. The intake polisher is REALLY busy. I hope to get my upper back from the polisher guy tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow I'll be done, hopefully. My 98 tacoma is beginning to feel fast, i've been so long without v8 power.
