The American Eagle Wheel website claims that they are one of only 2 American aftermarket wheel manufacturers left. They don't say who the second is, but they do say that American Racing has moved 900 jobs to China!

American Eagle Wheel has one wheel still listed that should fit our Two's pretty well:

"Hot Rod" magazine has an editorial this month about all the speed parts that are manufactured in China and Taiwan lately. Apparently all those cheap intakes, etc. on the market these days are from the far east.

Personally I don't mind Taiwan too much, but sending all our manufacturing jobs to China seems pretty stupid in the long run...geeze, they aren't even our friends!

If I'm remembering correctly, the first choice of wheels my dad picked out for my mom's PT would have taken like 6 months to come in because they need enough orders to make a shipment to come over from yonder across the sea. And this was from American Racing sometime in late 2000.

Plus China is buying all the steel. Places I've worked, and others I've talked to said they have to jack up prices and slow production because they can't get enough. If you can't beat them, I guess you join them.

Oh yeah, I was looking into those Eagle wheels a couple of years ago, and my dad ended buying some for his truck used, that bolt holding in the center-cap is pretty ugly up close.
