You might have blown a spark plug out.

I pulled all the plugs on the coils one by one and noticed a bigger miss with one unplgged. Thanks I will check it. Is it possible it came out of time?

I just found out my mechanic adjusted the throttle stop screw on the throttle body. . .that wouldn't have anything to do with it? It was tightened a bit to put the idle at 900. It was a 700 before cause of the break in tune with these cams and wanted to shut off

the noise I heard sounded like something in the head loose. It has done this before but straightened right back out

Pull the codes and report back. There are alot of sounds that are normal in the engine that tap. I heard an Explorer w/a blown spark plug. It sounded like a loud exhaust leak w/metallic tapping.

Don't mean to scare you. Does it sound like this vid? Spun bearing?

A rod bearing noise would be more obvious when the engine is hot. It would most likely be completely silent when you start the car, but once the oil is up to temp, at around 2000 rpm light load, it would be scary. Also, you wouldn't normally have a miss with a rod bearing.

Again, pull codes. The computer is telling you something, probably important, so listen to it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was something simple as a bad lifter.

This might sound stupid to some of you gearheads out there, but to me it seems like it could just be a hung valve. I've had that happen (not with the new Mustang) but with older cars when I went to move them from the garage out to the driveway and didn't give the oil enough of a chance to heat up. The next time I went to start it, a valve would hang, (sticky) and I'd have a miss and no compression in that cylinder. After it warmed up, the problem would go away. I've had that happen with a Chevy engine, a ford engine and a Toyota engine. Needless to say, I don't just move a car anymore without giving it 5 minutes of running time before shutting it off.

I wouldn't suggest putting the car under load until you pull the codes to see whats going. That will allow us to eliminate certain options.

I'm thinking it could be that cause I did have a lifter sticking before . I didn't get a chance to pull the codes yet so I'l try Saturday. I don't even have 5000 miles on this engine build either. It's still on the break in tune so everyting is completly fresh. I do thank all of you for the imput so much. I'm gonna check tomorrow to see if it blew a plug outta the head too. It sucks having to work and have no garage lol

Well I checked the Code, It said misfire in Cyl 3. . .So I changed the coil, and the plug and yes I did have the correct cylinder lol. . .But the miss and code are still there. . .

Pull the heads, sounds like it could be damage from PTV.

before you pull the head, why dont you run a leakdown test on that cylinder, that should tell you a lot,in regards to what is going on there, heck even a compression test would be helpful,IMHO.

you might have a lifter issue. it might not be pumping up and that what could be causing the miss

If you take off the valve covers, you can at least get an idea if anything in your valvetrain is bombed. If it all looks good, then you need to dig a bit deeper.

I'm praying for the lifter. Trick flow was nice enough to send me a new one just in case this was the problem. As soon as it stops raining here one day I'm going to check it out. I put a steathascope on the valve cover and it all sounds normal through both covers on each cylinder.
