About 16 months ago I ordered the Steeda Ultra-lite with 285/35/18 Nitto 555Rs package. I'm looking into getting new tires because of clearance issues in the front. I was wondering what brand of tire you guys are using for something fairly thin (245-265) in the front and something big (285-315) in the back.


So far Pirelli is the only brand I'd buy that has a 255 front, but only 295 for the back.

I have 255 in the front and 315 out back.

But they are some cheap Sumitomos. Dont get that brand if you want traction.

I had toyo t1r 265/35-18's on the front and 295/35-18's on the rear of my 98gt with no rubbing and I had that thing way too close to the ground with mm coilovers and suspension.

That matchup is very popular on an 18" rim.

I'm running 17s so my sizes won't help you, but I love the rubber I run,

The 295 rear 265 frnt is what I'm going to be running with the new saleeens I picked up. That seems to be the prefered tire combo.

Caldwell, I to love my ES100s but i havent seen them in the sizes i posted. I have them on my 17" cobra Rs and they are sweet. Not sure what brand i will be running with the new wheels yet.
