hmm

Dude, pay it and move on.

WTF, is your time and energy really worth nothing to you?

You are spending money on a lawyer, missing work and stressing yourself out over a stupid ticket.

Life is short, pay it and get on with your life.

ONCE AGAIN FOR PEOPLE THAT CANNOT READ, I CANT PAY THE TICKET!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS NOT A TICKET YOU CAN PAY!!!!!!!! IN VIRGINIA ITS A MISDEMEANOR AND YOU HAVE TO GO TO COURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANNOT PAY THE TICKET. I CANT PAY THE FINE AND NOT GO. ITS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE. I CANNOT PAY THE TICKET. I CANNOT JUST PAY THE TICKET. I CANT PAY THE TICKET. ITS NOT A PAYABLE TICKET. HEY, I KNOW I HAVENT SAID THIS BEFORE, MAN, I GOTTA GO TO COURT FOR THIS ITS NOT A TICKET I CAN PAY, ITS A CRIMINAL COURT MATTER.

woah

woah

Didn't know that. Anyway, I'd try dealing with the DA if I were you.

The first court appearance is nothing more than a chance for you to enter a plea. You don't get a chance to talk other than to say guilty, not guilty or no contest. Then they set another court date for the actual trial.

I have done this twice before and it has worked both times.

No lawyer.

Go to court and plead not guilty. Afterwards meet with the DA, he should offer to lower your charge, the courts are busy and his job is to weed out the easy, cut and dry cases that don't really need to go to court.

I got a reckless driving ticket changed to disorderly conduct with motor vehicle when I was in highschool. $200 cheaper and no points off my license. It also worked with a speeding ticket a few years later.

Virgina is a REALLY harsh state for traffic violations WOW.

VA traffic law is crap

and always has been, back in the day I got pulled over on state treet in Bristol, mind you I was going two blocks to be back in TN. Got a ticket for tinted windows and almost another for radar detector and cowl hood. Went to court judge said "If you drive in VA you must obey VA law." $50 fine + Court cost sheriffs deputy came outside to watch me strip my tint. So after that crap I still had to drive home and spend my next Saturday retinting my windows.
