oil and temp guage problems?

I accidentally posted this one on the 5.0, rather than the 94-95 specific 5.0 discussion. I just made a 400+ mile road trip, and the needles on my temperature and oil guages never moved at all during the drive. I was wondering what I should look at to fix these. My last stang (1978) had a bad temperature sending unit once or twice, but when that happened the needle would be at one end or the other all the time. Right now both of these guages are a little past their "zero" positions. I notice they are pretty much in those positions wether the car is on or not. Is there a fix for this? Other people recommended replacing the guages, but then I'd still have these dead ones in my instrument cluster...
