Motorcraft. I like factory products. If I were to use a different brand I'm partial to castrol. But ford says the oil change can be good for up to 10k miles and they are making that claim with their own motorcraft brand.

Never go 10,000 miles without an oil change. The oil may still be good but I doubt the filter would. I use Mobil 1 full synthetic with the extended life filter and I still change mine at around 7,500 to 8,000 miles...I don't know about your driving habits but out here in this LA traffic, whether on the crowded I-10 or my busy neighborhood streets you will see stop n go traffic everyday at anytime.

I drive a 99 Mustang six, auto - I bought it when about a year old, use the Motorcraft 5w30 originally called for in the owners manual. Have almost 190,000 on original engine and trans - have kept well maintained, but not a hot-rodder - drive frequently at maybe 80 on long trips - or less -
