Oil Change

I was changing my oil and I realized after putting in just over a quart I forgot to drain the second drain. So I emptied both drains. Will just under 5 quarts be enough for the stang? Also, as I was changing the oil I noticed some black residue on the drivers side tie rod and K-member. Any ideas what that is and where it is leaking from? Thanks

4.5 quarts would be good enough to get you to the parts store to finish adding the rest of your oil.

The black stuff on your tie rods is probably just road grime. Still better look for leaks in all the usual places though

The second hump only hold about 1/2 quart at most.....you actually don't have to drain it if you don't want to.

check to make sure your oil filter isnt leaking either and the gasket is off the block
