BEST oil filter out there is the Amsoil EAoM filters. A guy on a motorcycle site I visit is a certified oil engineer and did some analysis on the efficiency and said in testing, the oil was cleaner after running through the filter than when it was poured out of the bottle. Filters are 90% efficient to 10 microns and will filter down to 1 micron, are 4 times less restrictive than paper filters, with a downside cost at twice as much as the OEM Ducati filter I normally use.
And no, I am not an Amsoil rep, dealer or anything else, just a consumer.
Hum...i have always run the FL1A motorcraft filter. According to the testing he did..it had the largest filtering area (400 in^2) and used a high flow synthetic substrate. For the cheap price of 3 bucks. I dont think i will be changing my filter brand anytime soon. Especially running synthetic oil and changing the oil every 3k miles.
