Hello all,

I need to figure this out ASAP cause I am trying to get my car running today or tommorow and I have hit a roadblock.

The crate motor I ordered did not come with the piece that I need to screw the oil filter onto.

I called the auto parts store and told them that I needed the piece for a 302 and they said that they have no way of looking it up and they need actuall sizes...

Does anyone have any sizes or ideas?

This is MUCH apreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

what parts store was this? they should be able to look it up on their computer system and if not tell them to match one up to the right filter....because they have plenty of those.

It was Mazza's autoparts in waterford michigan. That makes sense to me though (what you said about matching it up to the stock filter).

Thanks,

Hmmmm interesting.

I just went to frickin home depot to try and get something that would work but it ended up not working out.

Can you get this part from the ford dealership by chance?

I dont know why but I always seem to get little hold ups like this. Believe it or not my car will probably not start this weekend over a 2 inch long threaded pipe = (.

Thanks for the help thus far though guys...much apreciated!

I ended up getting the part from the dealer. The best that I remember it takes an allen wrench to fit into the end of it, 3/8" I believe.
