oil in engine threads.

Im doing a engine rebuild and I got some oil in the threads that bolt on the oil pan and heads, do i need to get that oil out of there before bolting the oil pan and heads on or will torquing the bolts down have enough force to hold it in place? If I do need to get the oil out of there, anyone have suggestions on how to remove it?

There are many factors you need to consider before you torque down head bolts. They must be lubricated properly before you begin to torque them down. I would get the oil out of the holes and spray some brake cleaner in the hole and blow out with air. Then get the proper lube to do the job on the heads.

As far as the oil pan goes, I would clean out the holes with brake cleaner. You might want to use some Loctite on them.
