oil issues!!!!!!!!!!

the problem did start after the intake install.i added new oil new filter.i was using 20-50 quakerstate and i asked my wife to stop by and bring me oil and the store people gave her 10-40w...so i poured the oil in without noticing the weight of oil.i drove out to rosarito, mexico(bout 20-25 min. away)thats when the clicking noise came into play.

With this problem oil weight is of no concern. Try what I advised and let us know what you see.

no oil coming from tubes behind upper intake.the motor is clean of oil.just dust.could it most likely be bad rings?will I be able to know by pulling the heads?what else could it be? hope it doesnt need to be overhauled!:nonono: thanks guys.really appreciate your help!:SNSign:

Did it burn oil prior to the intake install? How often are you needing to add oil?
The white smoke is definately an issue...I would drain the oil to see if it looks like mud...if so pull the intake and attempt to reinstall again to see if the problem persists. If you're burning as much oil as you've indicated then you must be seeing blue smoke....smoke during acceleration is rings...smoke while engine is decelerating (foot off gas) but in gear is usually valve seals. If the rings are determined to be the cause then yes a simple rebuilt is in your near future.
