so i have been noticing oil spots in my driveway. just little tiny ones, maybe about an inch diameter. I crawl under there to look, becasue last time i changed my oil i did it myself. i thought the bolts were loose but they werent, and i could follow the path all the way up to my water pump. where the lower radiator hose connects to it there seems to be a bolt that is inbetween the pump itself and the block. the gasket i could see behind it wasnt seated to it, meaning it was almost touching the block, and i could see a drop of oil waiting to fall on that bolt. underneath the car there seems to be tons of places where i can see dirty oil, all around my oil pan prettymuch, my valvecover gaskets, and now the water pump. im going tuesday to get my oil changed and im gonna see if they can see what is wrong with all the oil im dripping, and where its coming from. do you all have any sugestions? im pretty sure i cant change a water pump gasket or valve cover. so throw me some advice. thanks guys.

edit. oh and its been close to 2k miles since my last oil change.

Well oil doesn't go to the waterpump. It could be a couple different things in that area that I can think of. Your front main is just below that. your timing cover could be leaking.

i believe there the mechanical fuel pump block off plate is right where you are describing. cant remember if it takes a gasket or anything. also oil pressure sending unit right in that area. 2 things to look out for.

yeah i have been meaning to ask that, my oil pressure is posessed, sometimes after its been running for a while at idle it will settle down to something thats about a 1/4 of the way up the gauge, i think its something like 20psi, and if i blip the throttle it kinda stumbles on itself then reves. can that have anything to do with it?
