Need Help with Oil Leak - Lower intake

It seems as though I have oil leaking from the front of my lower intake -- which I installed a few months back. Whats the trick to keep them from leaking? I used RTV on the ends instead of the cork. Could I have used too much RTV??? I need to do it right this time CUZ I dont want to do it a 3rd time

How did others do their lower intake? How long has it lasted?

I've never had a problem with leaking intakes. Make sure the intake kit you get has the rubber and not the cork end pieces and you just need to use the RTV in the corners.

I tossed the end pieces that came with the gasket set and just used RTV. The Edelbrock instructions said 1/4" thick, and they are not kidding. You want a lot of RTV -- the intake doesn't touch the block, so you need to have enough RTV to fill a pretty sizable gap.
