Hi Everyone........my 92 LX has a leak around the rear main seal area......I got it replaced and it got worse, my mech told me we'll try another seal....we did, and now it's leaking again, even when parked for a couple of days.

At this point I am stomped...it has 110,000 miles and it is in perfect shape and runs awsome...I thought after fixing this I would start with mods but the problem seems to get worse and I don't want to put anymore $ into it until I know the car is in top shape. Any ideas?

Al

Try the valve cover gasket, the other day I thought my rear main seal was leaking, but it was actually the valve cover gasket. It will run down the head, down the block and then around the bellhousing and then on the garage floor. Also check the oil temp sensor, I believe this is in the same place as the svo heads, but if it is check it.

Hope this helps.

My mech told me the oil pan looks clean.....but I did find in another thread that said it could be the rear lower intake seal....I am going to the mech this week to have that checked out. I know that seal is no big deal.
