Oil Level

I feel like an idiot, but I just checked my oil after about a month of driving the car... The level is like double the FULL mark... My dad didnt tell me, but when he got it certified, he also got them to do an oil change, and my guess is that they didnt know there was a 2nd drain plug. I dont see how it would be so full though, wouldnt they have checked it after they filled it!?! Maybe i just have oil in the tube... any ideas? In either case, if the oil is too high what effects will it have on the motor? thanks.

the dipstick is wrong on the 5.0. it should read like a quart over full. just drain it, change the filter and put 5 quarts in it and make a new mark on the dipstick for the right level. if there is actually too much oil you will possibly have leaking seals and blow by

Yea, my stock motor always read way too high too. I would check it after a 5 quarts and a new filter and it would read way high, so it's normal.

how much higher would a quart over full be do you think?
