Oil Pan again

OK. found out that the oil pan doesn't clear the high flow oil pump. When I tightened the bolts the oil pump pushes through the pan just barely though in one spot. The new pan I ordered is:

Summit Double Sump 5.0L Oil Pans
Oil Pan, Steel, Natural, 5 qt., Ford/ Mercury 1983-93, 5.0L

I noticed that the space between the humps is different than my original pan in that it is a little deeper and flat across instead of having a slight "V" shape.

Has anyone delt with this problem. Finding an oil pan for 94/95 with oil level sensor is not easy. I think I can make the oil pump fit by grinding a little of the front right bolt but I need to know if this pan will fit.

My pickup was alittle off from the mainsupport, took alittle bending/pushing to get all lined up.

The pan with the diff. section in the middle should still work fine. I would almost bet that they sell that style pan to clear main supports as I had to get an older fox body pan that has the diff. "valley" area instead of the V the 94-95's (actually back to like 92-93) to clear that main support.

Repair completed, This pan does work and I ditched the high volume oil pump for a stock one. The guy who built my motor is a stock car racer and they always use high volume oil pumps. I learned that you don't just throw a high volume pump on your car without upgrading your distributer gear and oil pump drive shaft. A high volume pump just puts more strain on these parts and for street cruising, it's just not needed. Not to mention clearance problems with the oil pan.

you also run the risk of sucking the stock oil pan dry with a high volume pump
