I have what seems to be an oil pan gasket leak. I've read about 100 posts about this in the forums, but can't find much on our specific cars (94-95) For the fox mustangs, they can loosen the motor mounts, and jack up the engine to provide clearance to remove the pan. They can also drop the cross member? Can our corss-members be removed? Would trying to tighten the oil pan bolts be a badd idea? thanks

you should be able to just undo the motor mounts and jack the engine up. also tightening the bolts might just sqeeze the gasket further out.

get the ruber felpro gasket.

Check all the bolts and make sure they are torqued to the proper setting, which I believe it is 94 in-lbs. But I can't remember, so consult your haynes manual.

Otherwise it's time to replace the gasket. The more time you spend scraping your block clean and the oil pan clean, the longer your new seal will last. I would also put some RTV on both sides. The Sensor Safe Blue RTV is frickin awesome. It is a PITA to scrape off, so I know it will last a long time and do its' job.
