Oil pressure gauge

Where does your oil pressure gauge read while idling & while driving. Mine reads aout half way while idling & within the first two notches while driving, but sometimes jumps higher then drops back down. Is this a sign of the oil pump failing?

It's a sign that your reading the stock gauge...that's not going to be a good indication of 'true' pressure. You need to install an aftermarket gauge if your concearned to see what's what.

My stock gauges were horribly inaccurate. At warm idle, there would read in the red of the gauge. Here is how I moved to aftermarket gauges:Radio Gauge bezel - Dial up warning To this day, I am thrilled with the bezel and gauge placement.
