oil pressure guage install

Where should the oil pressure sender be installed on a 2000 gt i am using an auto meter electric oil pressre gauge.

In the filter housing next to the oem sensor. There should be an allen plug to remove.

Is there some sort of difference on the 00 gt becuase i have been looking for that plug since last night and cant see it. I see the oem sensor but there is no plug.

There is no secondary plug on a 2000. You will need to "t-off" the stock sender with the autometer sender. This will ensure the stock guage remains functional. That is what I did on mine... works perfectly.

Thank you very much that's what Ill do!! The oil pressure sender is way up there and on the back of the oil pump looks like a pita but I'll get it done.

If it wasnt for stangnet I'd be screwed......

or...and if you can't get to the stock oil sender, get a Romeo oil filter housing from a 1996 to 1998 Mustang (wthout the oil cooler) or a 2001 to 2004 filter housing as the Romeo oil filter housing is the one that has an extra hole for a second oil sender/gauge as talked about in an above thread
