When I first start my car the oil pressure is fine and at about 50 -60 PSI. After it warms up the pressure drops to zero... I looked down the oil fill tube and you can see oil flowing off the roller rockers. The flow is not alot but it is a steady stream. The flow comes up a little with RPM's but not much.

I have changed the sending unit and changed the oil. I noticed that my oil looked more dirty than normal and was marbleized, there was also some fine medal shaving in the oil not alot but they were there none the less...

Engine has about 150,000 miles on the bottom end, top end is all new. Car still runs good and idles fine does not smoke or leak oil. I have noticed a decrease in power though. It does not run as strong as it use to.

I am at a lost, I can only guess that the cam bearings are starting to go, but no smoke from the tail pipes makes me wonder. I do not think it is the oil pressure gauge, I replaced the oil sending unit and it does the same thing.

Any thoughts...

Oil Pump

My 1989 Gt had sort of the same problem. While the car was running the Oil Pressure gauge was reading 0 psi but once I pushed in the gas and revved it up it would return to normal. I already had a new motor I was getting ready to put in so I really didn't care to much about it. Come to find out it was a bad oil pump and I could've ruined the motor. Be careful, See ya Dan
