Hey guys, i am about to install an autometer mecahnical oil pressure gauge and was wondering if i can use the plastic line that they supply with the gauge??...(also, what is everyones oil pressure readings on stock 5.0's)??...thanx
I am using the nylon hose, just make sure it doesn't rub against anything that can wear a hole in it, and don't kink it. If there is a leak, then you can have a BIG mess...
I am going to get a stainless line soon. It's about $50-60
My pressure stays around 50-60psi when warmed up. I also have a high voume oil pump, but that should affect the pressure
They make a copper hose just for the oil pressure guages. Most part stores should have it, and it's cheap. I believe I paid around $10 for mine. Pressure depends on motor, oil viscosity, ect.. Good luck with the gauge.
