oil pump shaft broken

I did a cam swap and I think I got some gasket material in the oil pan. My oil pump shaft twisted and broke then I have no oil pressure. What are the chances that my motor is bad? It started in my driveway and I turned it off right away and changed the oil and started it again to see if I had oil pressure and I had none. It was knocking so I turned it off really quick. I just bought a new oil pump, shaft, and pick up tube. What do you guys think?

If you stopped it right away idling in your driveway I wouldn't say there would be a great deal of damage. My motor's bearings were more wore out than damaged (none spun) and I noticed myn had no oil pressure AFTER I was doing donuts slamming it off the limiter.

oil pump

my friend broke his oil pump drive shaft we put a oil pump in it with the motor still in the car pain in the but to do it like that but it can be done. just prime the oil pump we put a new oil pump in it so done be cheap and just put a shaft on it. his car had heads, cam, intake car ran go

I hope it is. Does anyone have any tricks for getting the oil pan out from under the car without pulling the engine? I know that would be easier but I dont have a cherry picker. I do have a jack and some 2x4s. Any tricks for getting the shaft back into place?
