I did a cam swap and I think I got some gasket material in the oil pan. My oil pump shaft twisted and broke then I have no oil pressure. What are the chances that my motor is bad? It started in my driveway and I turned it off right away and changed the oil and started it again to see if I had oil pressure and I had none. It was knocking so I turned it off really quick. I just bought a new oil pump, shaft, and pick up tube. What do you guys think?

If you stopped it right away idling in your driveway I wouldn't say there would be a great deal of damage. My motor's bearings were more wore out than damaged (none spun) and I noticed myn had no oil pressure AFTER I was doing donuts slamming it off the limiter.

yeah your engine is most likely fine, replace the pump and shaft and rock and roll.

I hope it is. Does anyone have any tricks for getting the oil pan out from under the car without pulling the engine? I know that would be easier but I dont have a cherry picker. I do have a jack and some 2x4s. Any tricks for getting the shaft back into place?
