I called Ford SVT yesterday and he said 6 quarts with oil change (this is using the short oil filter 820S).
I advised him that this only put oil in the center range of my dipstick, and he said that this was normal.
If it is a little low below that, he said to monitor it, or you could add maybe an eighth of a quart. 7 quarts is too much! A completely evacuated system is 6.8 quarts, but he said no one gets it all out, except on a tear down.
