oil rings going or a simple solution here?

well, it started happening all of a sudden. I pulled my cobra manifold off two weeks ago which i ran in the car for a year - practically bone dry...i installed the eddy it was ok for a week or so n then i noticed blow by from the breathers. Next thing i take of the upper to find out its soaked in oil and just a few hours ago it started pinging n misfiring.
JUST GREAT !!!!

well last night i ordered a catch can so im waiting for it to come in...in the meanwhile ill clean up the plugs and see if that helps the misfire (im assuming the oil fouled a plug or two)

IM GETTIN WORRIED HERE...ANY IDEAS OF WTF IS HAPPENING HERE??

the rings gave out so suddenly or wtf?!

It seriously doesn't sound like rings man. Bad rings generally happen over time. That and the intake being soaked in oil seems to be the issue. I think it's time to take that intake back off the car and run over everything with a fine tooth comb. Make sure the intake gaskets aren't leaking and sucking up oil out of the valley. I would even go so far to look at the intake carefully and make sure it didn't crack when you had that intake backfire. I know it's a long shot, but if the little stuff isn't fixing it, it's time to go in deep.
