I noticed that when I drive the car hard there is a strong oil smell. I recently changed the oil and nothing is leaking anywhere. Also, the oil level has not dropped any.

Also, is there any way there could be pressure build up to pop the dipstick up a little?

mine has been doing this lately. no leaks, it was not the pcv valve. I even added an oil to air separter in the pcv line just to eliminate the possibility.

I am still looking. for the route cause.

Toss me on the list; however I have seemed to reduce it a bit by putting a hose clamp on that leaky breather hose on the driver's side valve cover.

How recent you change the oil...recent enough to still be burning off any drips? Hmm....is burning a little oil when raggin' on a car really abnormal. It would make sense with the extra heat and high rpm's to lose a little....we're not driving perfectly built and maintained machines.

I have noticed the same thing and have seen traces of oil seeping out of the PCV valve. I have to clean up the area once in a while as it is not great, but that is where the oil smell is coming from on my car. After you drive it hard, get out and with the engine running, use your eyes and nose to see where it is coming from.
