OK ELECTRICAL WIZARDS

Reviving an old thread here. I'm doing some rewiring in my F150 and it has this same setup. I do not want to upgrade to a 3G at this time assuming it fits. Does anyone know what needs to be wired up? As it stands, it doesn't charge. I took the alternator in to get it checked and put a new voltage regulator on it but I still only push 12 volts so I'm not getting any charge. I'm sure the wiring is playing the biggest part in this but I need some help.

For these tests, make all votage measurements at the alternator. The engine should be off, the ignition switch on.

Make sure the exciter wire (lt green/red ) has power when the ignition switch is in the Run position.

The yellow wire and black/orange wires should have 12 volts on them at all times.

I'm sorry, I'm not tracking on this one. JRichker. The basic diagram doesn't really point me in the right direction. I guess what I"m asking is what needs to be hooked up? I will double check but I believe the regulator has positions for A, S, I. Are those Alt, Stator, Ignition? On the alternator, I have 3 wires. One is direct from the battery but I'm not sure about the other 2. Is there a diagram to show houw these 2 pieces connect with tags. Unfortunately that diagram on here doesn't show what connections are what.
