MAC Pro Chamber
Flow Master 2 Chamber Cat Back
Mil Elimators $550 Installed.

3.73 or 4.10 Gears $400 Installed.

Steeda Timing Adjuster
Steeda Pullies $350 Installed.

How much WHP can we see after these mods ? I'm definitly getting 4.10's - 4.30's come spring.

i would say skip the little bolt ons and go for the big hp. not supercharger big, but cams or longtubes big. ive seen dynos from cams that can give you ~25-30 rwhp and from l/ts that net ~20rwhp. thats definitly a good boost in hp and will accomplish more than all the bolt ons mentioned. im currently saving for either cams or longtubes. both will add significant hp. both will also run you probably close to $800 installed, maybe a bit more for the cams since a valve spring upgrade is recommended. either option would be well worth it IMHO.

What kind/grind of cams are recomended ? Would driveability be affected ?

While at school take a mechanics course. Save a ton of money and its on your parents, Free! If you are going to get in this game you need to be able to DIY.
Mods -
Go to all websites classifieds- Corral.net, Modulardepot.com, ebay and this one. Buy used when you can.
Best bang -
*No cats OR X or H Mid pipe - 50-100.00-used + 15hp
This you will have to do since most muffler shops will not do this. Taking off cats is a big fine for them. But if you have a buddy?
*4.10 Gear. New only!- 139.00 @ gefracing.com Local install - 200.00 good for =.2-3 off 1/4. (Same as adding 25hp)
These are easy DIY installs you can do-
*Steeda T/A and pulleys used for 120.00? . 8-10hp.
*K&N Drop in 45.00 =+ 2hp
*Home made CAI - 10.00 = +2hp
*Accufab Upper manifold & 75mm Throttle body - 12hp or close. 350.00

Total - 1075.00 or a max of 1200.00
Yield - Minimum 30 hp and with gears over 1/2 second better 1/4.

Skip the catback!!! I put on just an Offroad H and it sounds great through my stock muffs. I felt there was no need to change it a new Catback after the power increase and the sound. The catbacks do not yield enough for their price. Mid pipe will yield you about twice the power increase for 1/3 the price.

If you absolutely cannot wrench skip the manifold and the T/A.

---Flowmaster 2 Chamber Cat Back-$550-~5rwhp MAYBE

---3.73 or 4.10 Gears $400-minus ~5rwhp, but adds acceleration (multiplys torque by having a higher spinning ratio which turns the wheels faster. wheel rotation to d/s rotation is expressed in a ratio i.e. 4.10:1=the wheels turn 4.1 times for every 1 turn of the d/s....someone correct me if im wrong :( )

---Steeda Timing Adjuster & Steeda Pullies $350-~10rwhp

i would recommend the Comp Cams XE270AH cams. they seem to be the most popular and people are adding them to their otherwise stock cars. also realize that you have to add valve springs for "just in case" reasons. nickethegenius has these cams and hes making some REALLY good power from them and some simple bolt-ons. talk to him for more info, or call comp cams themselves. :nice:

BTW:dont let people talk you into a CAI. they dont make any power. they just look nice. the only reason i got mine was b/c it looks better than stock and it exposes more filter surface area when i pop out my headlight at the track

Take the $1200 and invest it in a Roth IRA. I wish I had started at a younger age. I would be retired now...

Mods should come from fun money so unless this is fun money you'll need insurance, gas, books, date money etc.... If it is fun money do a Cat Back exhaust since that's already on your list. That will run $500-700 installed depending on your selection. Then with the remaining $600 or so, gears, at least a K&N drop in filter and a performance chip/tuner. Check/search these boards, there's lots of good info and plenty of debate.

The 200 out of my paycheck every month kills my bolt-ons...... But when I'm 40 and am a millionaire I guess I wont care...

As far as exhuast it sounds like the pro-chamber is what you need, the cat-back is debatable but flows would be the genereally accepted choice, theres youre 1200.

I have the deep rumble and some ponies so I say PC, weld ins, and some puleys and accufab TB and Plenum. I am gettin a cat-back eventually but I know I have the sound you want. I just dont have the sound volume I want!
