I really don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I would be concerned about the ProComp heads in a blown situation. They only have a .400" deck thickness, whereas upscale heads such as a AFR205 have a .750" deck (from their specs.) .400 thickness is not very thick in the world of heads.

Oh, and I am not a ProComp basher, just a user and a concerned poster.

I understand what your saying and i went through this with Ford Performance, they pretty much guranteed they would work for this combo or they're gonna take them back.Dont know if they're the same as Procomps, but he claimed the Avenger R's(what i have) had a thicker deck then my RPM's.

it's sitting on top of the intake manifold.
