yes, these are the things i was thinking but didnt really want to say.
called the guy to make a SERIOUS offer.
guy does not know how many miles, says over 100k but engine only has 20k!
Engine is a 350hp crate long block from advanced auto parts, but doesnt know who built the engine.
has 24lb injectors.....
Thats about the point that i said i cant even make you an offer it is a pretty car though.

Call me a skeptic, but i don't see a 302 making 350hp with a stock intake. Maybe WITH the blower it's making that power.
Yup. That's an instant red flag for me. Something like this either tells me the owner is either an idiot, or a liar......neither of which I would choose to hand any money over to. And $11K.....what's he smokin?
from most of the research ive done -even a ported stock intake would barely allow 400hp WITH the blower. im seriously doubting that intake is ported period, for sure not to the breakthrough a runner and reweld point of 400hp. some ppl ! Guess hes just hoping some young rich kid sees it and goes nuts over it.
Honestly I hope he gets what he's asking for it. Power to him if some uneducated sucker with deep pockets drive off with it.

Looks like a stock engine with a blower and he has no idea how many miles the car has....he'd be lucky to get $6k for it right now.

putting on a ball bearing old school paxton on a stock 5.0 motor will be pushing 500+ at the crank easy
TECHNICALLY if you read it closely he is implying that the supercharger is rated over 500hp, but it is definitely misleading.

Looks like a pretty much run of the mill nearly stock GT with a basic supercharger on it. 24lbs injectors? That tells me it's probably that real base model paxton that makes maybe 5psi boost. Adv. Auto and Autozone usually sell Recon engine's. (that's the company name) which are mostly junk. Super fast? Maybe 13's in the 1/4 with a good driver super fast.
I live in a Foxbody neighborhood, there are about five of them including mine. Three run. There's a Sn95 too. Of the tree, my buddy's car is fast, but he bought it modded, and I hate to say it, but he can only pull me top end which is a shame if you considered what is done to his (10+ comp engine, Patriot aluminum heads, longtubes, cobra intake, dyno tuned, anderson cam, 5 speed). The other "stangers" I can't even talk to, because they don't know anything about cars.

I'd take the turbo off my car to outrun that "super fast" mustang. That's a stock engine with 24 lbs injectors and a crapaxton.

$20k into it and he's running 4 lug still with probably stock brakes and what looks to be a stock 5.0 HO intake...ya ok pal!
