I’m sure this has been discussed before around here, but I am tired of using my armrest with the lid up as a cup holder.
Any geniuses out there figure anything out that works.
I know you can buy a new armrest that has a cup holder, but it looks like it would be in the way.

And why is “ You haven’t joined any chat rooms” flashing at me all the time I’m writing this?
What chat rooms, and what if I don’t wanna chat in a chat room?

Google “fox mustang cup holder console.” No offense, but you must have been living under a rock for the last year.

No offense taken, but I have googled that.
Apparently I haven’t seen what you have seen, and I like living under a rock this year.

I’ll try googling again—maybe your googling abilities are better than mine.

Here is what you missed:

Fox - Daniel Carpenter cupholder console

View: https://youtu.be/2Rw3chPhn1o Looks OK. One thing I noticed however is the scotchlok connectors in the supplied harness to have power. What in the name of wiring hack jobs are those doing in that kit?

I’ve seen this, but thank you anyway.
For an 83 Fox all they have is the armrest holder.
Was hoping that maybe Someone designed a whole new console.

Yeah, that would have been a piece of info that would have kept me from looking, well, like an idiot (I do have the light though, and thanks to you it is brighter than ever!)

That's a little too personal for me but just put on your thinking cap, I don't have a four eye to get a image in my mind to form a console pic.

Poor 4-eye owners haven’t gotten any cupholder love yet.

I’d imagine it’s because the parking brake is more in the center than the 87-94 cars

I had a bit of the same issue with my 84. I never did find a suitable piece. I ended up having to go old school and just held the drink with my legs. Having an automatic in the 84 was a whole lot easier to do than it is in my Cobra II with a T5. You could always go with one of these. I've thought about it for a long time but never pulled the trigger....

You have a couple of options:

Build your own into the center console

Get an armrest cup holder (I've seen these with one and two slots):

Classic Mustang Center Console Arm Rest Cup Holder - Dark Gray (79-86) FMHLD7986-SVO

Add form and function to your 1979-86 Ford Fox Body Mustang with this Holdster Dark Gray armrest & cup holder pad from Late Model Restoration!
lmr.com

https://www.cjponyparts.com/classic-consoles-hold-ster-armrest-cover-cup-holder-1979-1986/p/HS1-V/

Or make something that follows the curve of the transmission tunnel on the passenger side.

I’be thought about what you are saying about building something.
Thanks.

How about a holder for an entire dinner tray?
It holds this 15 " laptop.

Here's pics of the tray.

Used to hold this 10" tablet.

Appreciate it but was hoping someone had designed a console for those older Foxes.
Guess not enough around to make it worthwhile.
