Okay, over the past several days my car would fall on its face around 4500 to 5000 rpm. I did this going down the road. I figured it would be boost/fuel related. So when i got into the driveway, i reved it to around 4500 to 5000 and it would hesitate and maybe a little backfiring.

I went ahead and replaced cap & rotor. Checked timing. I set 8* timing for street. And made sure wires where in proper order. Started up. Same problem.

I then re-gapped plugs to .032-.035. Most were around .055. I started and bam, problem gone.

WTF??

I dont get it.

Please explain....

thank you

gap to big with compression and boost, and were blowing out spark id say

Okay, i would agree with the boost thing while going down the road. But setting still in the driveway?

Compression. I'll that one too.

Well, even though I wasnt running boost in the driveway, maybe excessive air flow? I am running an 8" under/over too.

What about that?

Thanks guys........ :D
