So I may be the only one left witht the original cd player, but hey, it worked, finally quit though.(typical symptoms posted around here) I searched around, just a new head unit and wiring harness to use the factory speakers, seems easy enough (I use that in a very loose sense). So. is there a special tool I'll need to get the factory decks out, I'm guessing those holes on the sides of the face have something to do with removal. Or is there a fix for the factory cd player, maybe some way to clean it, or is it dead? thanks for any help, Later

I'm not sure of anyway to fix the cd player but yes you can get the tools to get out the factory deck with any install kit. Walmart usually sells them or crutchfield.com. They look like coat hangers kind of...

Just replace the head unit, dont buy that tool though, just cut and bend a wire hanger in a U shape. Make two of those and then you can save yourself 10 bucks. In the picture link below you can see the ones I made sticking out of the holes...
