Well,I started on my spring install today and I jacked up the car and placed the stands under it,lowered the jack and my old springs fell out.As I suspected, they were cut.Looking at the new springs, how much do you think it will raise the car?My rear tires are 235/55/17.My isolators were shot to hell too so I am buying some energy suspension ones tonight when I go to Summit.

I made the exact same swap, isolaters and all. I had stockers on my car and decided to cut'em just for fun before i bought new springs. I ended up cutting too much but the car looked badass. I couldnt drive over speed bumps though or my headers would scrape.

Anyways, with new isolaters and those springs, they'll raise your car just a bit, you'll definately notice it but after about 2 weeks or a month of driving, they'll settle down and you'll see that "perfect stance" height, especially with 17s. They won't be slammed, and they'll ride great. Personally i wouldnt go any lower unless i had a road track only car.

What are the things in the middle of the old spring?Should I use them with the new springs?

Honestly i've never heard them called anything and i've never seen them for sale....i figured they were some kind of sound isolater or something. I didnt use them on my new springs.

wow I wish I was close enough to drive to summit. Are you by the big one? I remember seein a pic of their main one and it was huge....looked like a car heaven. i think it was in ohio or sumthin.
i honestly dont think your gonna gain much ride height, because like what 88 coupe said, they will settle down in time. The ride should be a rediculous amount better tho.

Looked sweet but barely made it over ANY speed bump

Eibach Prokit after settling down for about 2 weeks....it's just a TAD lower now, barely noticable. It sits right in the sweet spot IMO, even on 15 inch rims, and the back tires in this shot are 50s so they're even shorter than stock.

Right now i've got 215/65/15s all around, and they filled the fender gap even more. I put a friend's Cobra Rs on over the winter and the ride height was PERFECT.
