Yeah i bought a brand new 5 blade, and were i work, getting the o.e. parts at cost is a no brainer. Shroud is installed too. With thermal clutch.

So where do you find a 6-blade clutch fan with a thermal clutch? Are they off a late model Mustang?

all of the major mustang suppliers have em. like cj, npd, year one, etc.

I kept it simple and put on a 6-blade fixed blade (not flex blade) aluminum Flex-a-lite fan. $30 from Summit, rated to 8000 rpm. I realize I am probably giving up 5 hp at 6000 rpm but I have power to spare. My problem is keeping the car cool in Houston. This fan moves a LOT of air, even at idle.
