Old VIN decode help.

Hey folks. I am having a hell of a time decoding my VIN on my 79 Capri. The dealerships around here dont even keep records anymore on the old VIN's.

Can you guys help me out with my VIN? I want to know factory options, rear end gears, original color. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am used to doing just complete custom work so I have no experience with factory resto's lol.

thanks Ice...that site is good, but its like all the others. I just can't seem to find the info that I really want. Is there anyway to go about finding the build sheet for my car?

Everything I can find is telling me the 3rd and 4th digit should be 01 to 05 respectively but mine is 16. I can't seem to find any decoders that read a 3rd digit that isn't a 0.

I can PM someone the VIN if they can help me.

whats your vin? what year car? my 3rd and 4th are not numbers and i used the decoder above and it worked fine.

I am on FourEyedPride too. Theres a little more infor there but its still hard to find most of what I need.
