I'm interested in buying single chamber flowmasters. I've seen on other threads people talking about getting the original one chamber not the delta force one's.
Where can i find the original and what will i have to do to get them to fit on my 5.0
it would take a exhaust shop to customize a setup to run those because they are straight through and not offset like your current mufflers . So you'd probably spend the $$$ you saved , unless you just wanted to dump them .
yup...my brother put the SLP shotgun race resonators on his car from the loudmouth kit...and they are not an offset design either and he spent quite a bit getting them installed b/c they had to make a little S pipe to make it fit correctly. i would say that if you just want LOUD get something other than Flows...something straight through...magnapack or SLP's....they scream
also about dumping them my tailpipes are welded now how do i go about taking them off and puttin the dump pipes on and how to put them on without welding them?
the 1 chambers will give you a loud car. i had them on mine and got sick of them, but i get sick of all my exhaust setups after awhile. check out IMCO, they make a cheaper version of the 1 chamber also. i personally think the pro streets sound a lot better than the 1 chamber flows that i used to have
my original plan was to put one chambers on my 95. but after hearing a few and listening to many sound clips ( never really did hear a 5.0 with one chambers in person tho ) i decided to give spintech pro streets a try. part of my decision to go spintech was the offset design and it was a chambered muffler and i wanted to run tailpipes with mine and i knew it would make it easier with those rather than the one chambers. i do know from what ive heard a one chamber does not sound like a really loud 2 chamber. its got its own sound. no regrets here from my spintech pro streets. they are very loud and different. to me, kinda has the mod motor raspy sound up in the higher rpms but makes a stock 5.0 sound a little cammed at idle. i like them
I might just keep my 2 chambers for now because the 1 chambers will be a pain to put on since they are center-center ya know?
i might just dump my 2 chambers. i have 2.5 inlet/outlet flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers with a 2.5inlet summit off road h pipe and i want to get turndowns. what size do i have to get and where do i get them?
i had 2 chambers dumped before i went with my spintechs. i liked it for a while but it gets old. mine isnt even a DD. if it was, would have gotten old alot quicker. it does sound good but u get vibration out the wazoo inside and black crap all over the back your car from the exhaust gas.
