since i had a water temp guage laying around i got a wild hair to put it on my new ranger. so i got it all hooked up and ready to go backlight works guage needle even moves up and is ready to go. so i got to looking and found the sender for the stock guage and the 2 fittings autometer gave me were either 2 small or 2 big. so i decided i would try to connect it to the stock sender thinking it would work. tried both wires nothing works?????????????? should i e-mail autometer and ask them if they make the sender for my car or is there some trick u guys know? should be that diff from a mustang.

and i guess the AM gauges now dont have the correct adapter fitting, based on what i have seen in threads lately.
i would hit the parts store and try to get some adapters for the gauges they sell, if the sender bulb is the same size or hit the home store.

the AM gauge should not work with the stock sender. very unlikely they are calibrated the same. and if you hook up two sending wires, you cut the signal to each gauge in half (or more/less depending upon the gauge).
