Need to reinstall my oil pan (engine in car). I know these gaskets are typically installed dry, at least when installing with engine on a stand. Will it cause any problems to use gasket tack to hold gasket to bottom of block for the pan install?
No, you'll be fine. I'd still goop it up in the corners with silicone where the pan meets the mains on both sides of the gasket for good measure though.
ya make sure u use a dealer gasket tho and the silicon preferred its called " the right stuff" thats stuff works really good i use it on everything......
