It was super cold out the other day...so I started the stang and let it run for about 10 mins. While idling, there was steam coming out of left side exhaust and not the other. If i revved on it a little both would puff equally. Is this normal at an idle with an aftermarket cam? The car idles pretty rough.

As long as you don't have that problem when it's warmed up there's nothing to worry about. If you drive the car for 20 minutes and it's still doing it then look for an antifreeze leak.

It's just that one side of the exhaust picked up a little more moisture than the other. The cam has nothing to do with it.

hes from New York! same weather as i get here! its normal!!! its called cold weather! and you will have white smoke coming out the tails all the time if it super cold out like it has been here lately! -23 the other night! unless it smells sweet ( which would indicate an antifreeze leak ) or its excessive!!!! i mean a lot!! you dont have anything to worry about! being from New York and getting the weather we have have you ever seen this coming from the other cars on the road? you dont see it so much when the car is in motion unless its just been started! you will get a lot! but you see it more when stopped at a light and waiting! when the weather is as cold as it has been! I know the car will smoke steam when its cold out. I was just worried about one side puffing and the other doing nothing, like a dead cylinder...but the car ran perfect so I won't worry about it. Thanks guys!
