I'm fitting a 100amp one wire alternator (internal regulator) on my 66'. What is the correct way to hook up the battery feed wire and is there anything else I need to be aware of for safe wiring to instruments etc ?

I also used a fuse for my one wire. Make sure the post stays tight, there is a jam nut. Mine got loose and it wasn't charging. I was able to tighten it, but it's days are numbered now.

MAD Electrical www.madelectrical.com has some great discussion of alternator swaps (and general electrical) under their "Tech" tab. If you get their Alternator Wiring kit (as I did), it comes with a booklet explaining all wiring procedures. I found it very helpful
